Iverson Appointed President and CEO

Vancouver, BC, Canada - Volcanic Metals Corp. (TSX.V: VOL; the "Company") announces that Mr. Larry Johnson has stepped down from the office of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company to focus on other business interests. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Johnson for his recent service, and wishes him well and success in his future endeavours.

Mr. Michael Iverson, currently a director of the Company, will be assuming the role of President and CEO of the Company. Mr. Iverson brings more than 15 years of leadership and public company experience in senior management, business development, equity financing and acquisitions. Mr. Iverson is presently an executive officer and/or director of Niogold Mining Corp. and Fortuna Silver Mines Inc.
